Features

The Nokia 1100 is widely considered to be the world's best-selling phone with over 250 million units of various versions of the device having been shipped since it was launched in 2003. It typified Nokia's strength in global supply chain management which gave it a significant competitive advantage over rivals. This basic model, which offered phone calls and text messaging, featured a flashlight torch, a non-slip casing and a dust-proof design. It was targeted at growth markets such as India but had global appeal. The torch was activated by pressing and holding the 'c' button on the phone.  It was eventually discontinued in September 2009.
