The W700i was announced at CTIA trade show in the USA. It was Sony Ericsson's 8th Walkman branded handset and was almost identical to the Sony Ericsson W800i.
It was a tri-band GSM phone (900/1800/1900) and featured a two-megapixel camera. It was bundled with a 256MB Memory Stick Duo card
The phone was available in two colours, titanium gold and smooth white.
