Features

The Z10 was an upgrade to the Symbian / UIQ-powered RIZR Z8 that featured better materials, increased performance and improved specifications. As with the Z8, this device had a strong “multimedia” focus and was notable for its wide range of media (photo and video) editing tools. These were particularly well-suited to user-generated content (UGC) which could be edited, modified (e.g. by adding a music track or subtitles) and then uploaded to a blog or content-sharing service such as Flickr or YouTube. At the time, Motorola partnered with ShoZu to facilitate the transfer of content to multiple web services. Unfortunately, the Z10 was let down by only having a 3.2-megapixel camera. Given the competitive landscape at the time, a five-megapixel module may have been more appropriate.
