Features

The Nokia 3200 was a quirky handset with a very distinctive keypad. Each physical key was effectively a rocker, so the key for 2 and 5 were the same, you just pressed the upper side for 2 and lower for 5. It also had an innovative personalisation feature that allowed users to remove the case, print any background they chose and they could then place it behind the case, clip it back onto the phone and hey presto, they had their own personalised device. The phone, which used the Nokia Series 40 proprietary operating system, featured a CIF camera, that offered a standard resolution of 352 x 288 pixels. Users were able to add Java games to the device. The phone also included a torch which proved popular with owners. Front Image: Valdachim, Nokia 3200, CC BY-SA 3.0
